I can't think of "1984" without thinking of "Brave New World," either. The edition of "Brave New World" I have has a brilliant forward that reads, in part, "'1984' envisions a future where no one is permitted to read a book. 'Brave New World' envisions a future where no one wants to."
I'd say that so far the future is 80% Huxley, 20% Orwell. And that you really dig dystopias.
